013 1912 Goodbye Mayor Shea song p2

Were the callers rich or poor, it was all the same, I'm sure. You treated them most courteous, one and all. Your smile dispelled their wrath, you cast roses in their path. As you bowed them out and thanked them for the call. Goodbye Billy, farewell Billy. Our hearts are sad today. We may never find a Mayor to excel you in the chair. Goodbye, Mayor Shea. Retiring from the strife and the cares of public life, May your future be a happy one we pray. You have never found a friend, who is not with you to the end. We are here to prove that friendship, Mayor Shea.
