my parents were James Devlin(1895-1977) born in Boston died in Weymouth and Anna Meldon (1894-1959) born and died in Boston

James Devlin' mother was Mary Ellen Field Devlin (1858-1924) born in Marshfield died in Boston. It is on her side that the Cashman and Murphy relationship comes from.

When I was a small child in Scituate the Dwyer's were "close cousins.' The Murphys and Cashmans were always referred to as being cousins but I never knew them well. It seemed most of the Irish families who were in Scituate before 1900 were related in some way.
